Vanitha Veeravalli was honored at the Music and Dance Festival 2012 in Chennai, India with the Acharya Kala Vipanchee award for excellence in art education by Vipanchee, a renowned cultural organization. This award was presented by the legendary artist Padmavibhushan Dr. M. Balamuralikrishna, a founder Director of the organization.

Guru Vanitha is a multiple-time recipient of the Master Artiste award for Bharatanatyam from the Illinois Arts Council.
